Jay Cavaiani
Lead Pastor
Jay loves to work with seekers and those with a desire to grow in their journey of faith.  He authored a book titled, “Altar’d” which offers faith building evidence helping people to have the joy of becoming full in faith. You may get a copy from church, at altardthebook.com or on Amazon. Jay has been married for over 20 years to his lovely bride Kelly (school teacher at Swallow Elementary in Hartland) and they have 3 children together – Jacob (University of Missouri), Abigail (Missouri State) and Caleb (KM High).  Jay and Kelly enjoy watching their kids sports and activities, golfing, reading, running, hiking and the outdoors.
Nathan Schindler
Executive Pastor
Nathan and Pam were married in 2000 and have four amazing kids (Garrett, Kayla, Lauren and Brooke) that love being a part of Crossing too. After a successful career in sales, Nathan was called into ministry back in 2008 and became a pastor in 2012, serving 5 years at Brooklife Church in Mukwonago and then as the Executive Pastor at Crossing as of August of 2017.
In addition to God and his family, Nathan enjoys volleyball, collecting lanterns, his pets (two dogs & two tortoises), eBay, garage sales and Fort Wilderness.
Annie Nelson
Office Manager/Staff Accountant
Annie & Willie have been married since 1987 and have three adult children whom they home schooled for more than eighteen years. Toward the end of their homeschooling career, Annie felt led to go back to UW-Whitewater where she completed her BBA-Accounting degree in December 2017. In September 2018, she successfully completed all sections of the CPA exam and is currently working toward completing her CPA license. Annie participates as a leader for Kids Crossing, a participant of the Girlfriends & Grace Bible study, and the discipleship ministry here at Crossing Community Church. Her hobbies are knitting, crocheting, cooking, and reading.
She and Willie share their home with their dog, Gracie (pictured), and their house rabbit, Bo (not pictured). Gracie has been known to tag along with Annie to the church office to work as an unofficial greeter for visitors!
Nikki Streit
Kid’s Crossing Coordinator
Nikki and her husband Dan have been married since 2005. They have Irish Twin boys Carson and Mason (11 months apart). Before children she had worked for an OB/GYN Specialist as a Medical Transcriptionist and stayed home for 8 years to care for the boys. Once they were school aged, she went back as a Middle School Food Service Assistant and found her calling. She found that she was meant to work with children. In addition to being a “Lunch Lady” she is also the Kid’s Crossing Coordinator here at Crossing Community Church.
Nikki and Dan were married in Negril, Jamaica. They also have two rescue dogs, Braun and Meike. Their family loves spending time together, Brewers Baseball, Green Bay Packer Football and traveling.
Joe Cascio
Campus Way Coordinator
Joe and Kathleen were married on September 25, 2004 and have two children, Olivia and Jada, and a black lab named Mia. They have been a part of Crossing since Joe took a lead position in Campus Way, the middle and high school ministry. Kathleen teaches US History at Mukwonago High School and Joe teaches Business and Marketing at New Berlin West. Joe is also the lead supervisor for the terrace level at Miller Park where he is involved with the Chapel for the Brewers employees.
Joe has a religion minor from Carroll College and has a true passion and heart for Jesus Christ. In addition to leading Campus Way, Kathleen and Joe lead a Crossing Life Group on Thursday nights.
Joe loves God and his family and enjoys all sports and outdoor activities especially football, baseball, basketball, camping, hiking, and traveling across the country. However, Kathleen and Joe’s greatest joy is watching their children (Olivia and Jada) play soccer in the spring and fall.
